Jericho

Formed by the sand proudly you stand walls for my lee timeless and free this place, this home this city Jericho whence did you grow so high and alive proudly I'd show the world I love your beauty Old as fire and rain your walls will remain high above the plains you reign Queen of cities Here I'll spend my days in my many ways deep within your grace I dwell safely moored Then one fateful night wings of war took flight for the morning light and Joshua and his children Soldiers crossed the sands trumpets in their hands that by his command sounded all walls and hope to dust But after all these winds of time have dried the blood and sighed these rhymes I still don't know what was your crime
