In the Country

Blue-colored country sky

I want you to be my face

that I may know

the soul and heart of summer

that you embrace

But don't ask how

nor wonder why

'cause it's morning now

and the sun shines down

on the country

and I felt quite free to ask

Multi-colored rainbow

I want you to be my eyes

looking at the world

through all that you can give

I will surely realize

there is no pain

but only fun

as I am running

in the rain

in the country

and who could ask for more

Grey-colored autumn clouds

I want you to be my hair

although I've heard

you're cold at heart

I find grayness just fair

It may not seem

that rain-fat pillows

would soothe me

as I dream

of the country

but I dream just fine

Star-colored winter night

I want you to be my song

no matter where I look

and no matter what I see

I find you've known it all along

And resting in your arms

as the Milky Way

shines her secret

and silent charms

on the country

I know

I know it now
